A Bruce Lee Quote To Get You Going

A Bruce Lee Motivational Quote
If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.

As someone who tends to think far too long before acting, this speaks deeply to me. I like to have everything answered and understood up-front. That risk-adverse nature, I suppose. It does paralyze in it’s excess.

There’s deep value in visualizing a project, break it into a series of tasks and understanding what it takes to complete. However, perfection is a fantasy. We’ll never know every possible detail that could arise. NEVER.

That’s the value of the agile methodology. Conceptualize, plan, start, evaluate, review the plan, adjust, restart. I love that. It keeps that paralysis under control.

Quote of the Day: Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee’s wisdom, always good for motivation and focus.

This gem reminds me that we must continuously strive, push forward. It’s very easy to become complacent, to be simply satisfied.

For me, fear speaks to me at those moments. Fearing failure, laziness seems quite tempting. But I know the emptiness therein. Pushing through requires discipline, forcing through the inertia.

Know the value of that push. A worthwhile exercise of force.

Blessings upon all of you, dear readers.

Fight Like A Girl

At my taekwondo school, many of us have adopted this slogan: “fight like a girl”. A couple of the women I train with are thinking the next iteration of this is pink t-shirts with this phrase.

Overhearing this I stated I would proudly wear one myself. And I want to be clear:  truly, deeply, definitely I would.
I adore the fierce and talented women and girls in my life. The amazing and wonderful things they’re doing to make our world better…I’m privileged to be a part, to witness and, sometimes, even help out.

So, get the shirts and let me buy one. A humble little thing I can do.
